Our relaunch cover was a slice of sweet, sticky Jatz pie as part of a clean and graphic black and white cover treatment. This issue marked a bold new look for Gourmet Traveller, which was wholeheartedly embraced by our readers.
Jatz crackers (currently appearing back on the menu at a select few, cool restaurants) are surprisingly close to people’s hearts, so this modern interpretation of the nostalgic snack got lots of attention.
It feels good to look back at the relaunch cover and feel that you got it right – the sense of fun, the element of surprise and the tastiness factor are all there. And most importantly, it sold its socks off.
