Kinky Friedman to play National Press Club

The Kinkster, 71, is well qualified to front the Press Club

Singing Texan crime novelist Kinky Friedman returns in October for his eighth Australian tour that debuts with an appearance at the National Press Club in Canberra.

The Kinkster, 71, is well qualified to front the Press Club.

Three attempts to win public office in Texas – including Lone Star State Governor – were not a political pleasure.

Friedman was returned to the private sector where he released his 13th solo album “The Loneliest Man I Ever Met” on the eve of his 2015 Australian tour.

This time The Kinkster, patiently awaiting the movie on his colourful life that includes 30 novels including belated “Detective In The Hard Boiled Computer”, will settle for his animated Finding Memo Music Hall gig in St Kilda on Saturday 8 October.

Kinky hits the Acland Street warzone after reaping what he sowed at the Harvester Moon on The Bellarine on Friday 7 October.
