KIIS to network summer show with Sophie & Matty

KIIS Sydney and Melbourne have announced a networked breakfast show called The Summer Fling

• Plus agency clients given a chance to win on-air reporting role!

Sophie Monk and Matty Acton are to host a networked breakfast show called The Summer Fling across KIIS Sydney and Melbourne.
Kicking off in December for the summer break, the breakfast show is promising celebrity gossip, fun and fresh interviews and crazy breakfast antics.
Sophie and Matty will be joined every morning by gossip guru Richard Reid who will be dishing all the celeb news and Bachelor favourite Heather Maltman will be a regular on air with her picks of this summer’s best movies.

Entertainment journalist James Weir from news.com.au will also be a regular on the show with local news, gossip and views.

ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell explains the new show: “It may be a ratings rest period but we know that listening habits really don’t change over the summer break. If anything, fans are actually listening for longer periods of time, so having a fantastic show on air is great news for both our audiences and advertisers.

“It’s also the perfect way for us to nurture and further develop talent within the network,” he adds.

ARN’s agency sales teams in Sydney and Melbourne are giving the chance for one of their agency clients to win their own guest spot on air at The Summer Fling.  All they need to do is upload a short audition video to their socials, showing their best reporting skills and tagging #ARNSummerFling.

Auditions will be seen by some of the best content directors in the country and narrowed down to three finalists in each Sydney and Melbourne. The three state finalists’ entry videos will then be uploaded to www.arn.com.au and their colleagues will have the opportunity to vote for the two winners who will appear on air with Matty and Sophie in either Melbourne or Sydney. For more details, head to www.arn.com.au

The Summer Fling can be heard from 6am to 9am weekdays on Sydney’s KIIS 1065 and Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1 from Dec 7 to January 8.
