JCDecaux appoints Max Eburne as chief commercial officer
Eburne will be responsible for JCDecaux’s commercial development nationally
Out-of-home company JCDecaux has appointed Max Eburne to the newly created role of chief commercial officer, following its recent expansions into digital OOH media.
In the role, Eburne will be responsible for JCDecaux’s commercial development nationally, including growing its existing client portfolio, leading new product development and investment, new technologies, media agency partnerships and new business.
Eburne first joined JCDecaux in the UK as an associate director in 2006, before moving to Australia to take up the position of general manager, sales and marketing. As a result of his promotion, Sydney Sales Director Oliver Newton will now become National Sales Director and Group Sales Manager John Harris becomes State Sales Manager (NSW).
“With his talent, dedication and a great team of people, Max was the natural choice for this role, which will be pivotal in steering our next growth phase,” JCDecaux Chief Executive Officer Steve O’Connor said.
“We are delighted with the early success of our digital out-of-home launch in Sydney, which continues to roll out in the city and beyond. It’s already achieving strong advertiser interest and consumer engagement and there is much more to come. Max will steer the commercial offering of our new digital and existing product range across Australia.”
Commenting on his appointment, Eburne said: “I’m thrilled to be stepping into this new position as JCDecaux continues to grow across Australia with new digital ad solutions and street furniture. The successful launch of our Digital Citylights was just the beginning of what we are yet to unveil and we have several product innovations and refurbishments under way.”
