Photo and short video sharing platform Instagram has relaunched its logo and the design of its mainstream app.
The social media company has also launched unified set of icons for Boomerang, Hyperlapse, and Layout.
All the new logos use its ‘rainbow lives’ colour palette design in a gradient form.
On the interface of the app, the company writes in a blog post: “[It] puts more focus on your photos and videos without changing how you navigate the app.”
The most notable change with the update is that users can now upload videos that are up to one minute long. Previously, users could only upload videos that were 15 seconds or less.
However, the first thing that Instagram users will notice when they open the updated version of the app is the colour scheme of the interface has changed from blue and white to black and white.
Other than this, the functions on the app remain the same.
