To mark International Women’s Day 2019, GroupM Australia is celebrating women across its business with a content series called IWD: The Women of GroupM.
Taking inspiration from the iconic long-running Humans of New York content series, every day in March, GroupM is posting a profile of inspirational female execs from MediaCom, Wavemaker, Mindshare, Essence, Xaxis, Finecast, Plista, mPlatform and GroupM teams in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
The Women of GroupM content series is running across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Each GroupM agency is also celebrating with internal events and initiatives throughout March. GroupM is also hosting an international panel discussion about gender equality that will be live streamed to all staff worldwide.
Mark Lollback, GroupM Australia & New Zealand CEO, said: “IWD is an opportunity to reflect on progress made towards a gender-balanced world and to demonstrate that although we still have more work to do, we are Walking the Talk together. The content series showcases women from all levels of our business who have been asked to share their biggest achievements and challenges, who their role models are and how they will #BalanceForBetter on International Women’s Day and into the future.
“GroupM’s vision is to inspire excellence, every day, in everything we do. Our people are the most important part of our business and our All Means All initiative is bringing that to life – not just around events such as International Women’s Day and Mardi Gras, but all year round.
Cindy Grass, GroupM chief talent and HR officer, said: “From our graduates to our leadership, we all have something to learn from each other. Everyone in our business has overcome personal and professional challenges and has an inspirational story to share. To mark International Women’s Day, we wanted to share those stories. There are many talented people in our business and we hope this content series shows that everyone plays a part in making our business a success.
“Equality is a key pillar of our D&I strategy, not just for IWD. Two thirds of our people are female and women flourish in our business. We’re not short of women in leadership positions which helps breeds ambition to follow in their footsteps and we offer industry leading parental leave and access to flexible working so that all our people can achieve balance.”
