Facebook has published its list of the most talked-about topics on the platform for the year.
Topping the chart was International Women’s Day, held in March, which also made the global top 10.
The biggest sporting event on the platform was the Melbourne Cup which ranked #2.
Rounding out the top three was the same-sex marriage decision which was handed down in November.
