Day 2: Fitzy and Wippa catchup with The Rock

Fitzy and Wippa in LA Day 2: Turtle, Johnny Drama, The Rock and Beau Ryan gets bum steer

It was day two of Nova 969’s week in Los Angeles and the Tuesday show featured Tom Time in the first hour for members of the Six O’clock Club. The show took calls about what sort of merchandise it should offer club members as it conducted a Q&A about the breakfast hosts.

There was also early debate about how old Rebel Wilson really is – either 29 or 36 – after a Womans Day article. Producer Sarah McGilvray chimed in with “Rebel looks 36, she doesn’t look 29”. Wippa then asked the team to guess the real age of McGilvray – Wippa guessed 34, Fitzy went 33 while Matty Degroot went 37. “What a rude bunch you are,” responded Sarah. Milly kept the sisterhood alive by guessing 25. “I’m really 32,” McGilvray revealed.

Guests on today’s show included Beau Ryan co-hosting during the morning and an interview with Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock.

Ryan got the wrong address so turned up long after he’d been promoted, but he still got to sit in with the team for half an hour. Ryan was about to jump on a plane to Brisbane for this week’s edition of Nine’s NRL Footy Show.

The stars from Entourage on the program today where Turtle and Johnny Drama with Wippa admitting he was the Turtle of the Nova Entourage.

Fitzy and Wippa went in search of Justin Bieber today, sneaking into his LA property but he was nowhere to be seen.

The breakfast show is broadcasting each day from a Melrose Avenue studio facility and after today’s show the hosts were off to a Jessie J concert to interview her before she went onstage.
