Dancing for: Black Dog Institute
Why did you decide to do Dancing With The stars: All Stars and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I decided to do the show this time for myself. The first time I felt I had to do it. I was first asked fresh after The Bachelorette and the execs were so excited,I was so exhausted and in a fresh public relationship. So last time I did it for other people, this time I’m doing it for myself. I owe it to that fragile worn out bag of nerves back in early 2020!”
Anthony Koutoufides. 2006 Winner
Dancing for: KIDS Foundation
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I had a wonderful experience on DWTS in 2006, memories that will last forever; I had to do it again.”
Bridie Carter, 2014 Grand Finalist
Dancing For: Support Act
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I had quite an unexpected and incredible time when I first did the show. Initially, it was one of the most terrifying jobs I have ever done but it ended up being one of the most enjoyable and fulfilling. I got really fit and certainly enjoyed pushing my body to its limits. To be frank, I question my sanity in returning – why not just leave on a high? Why return? It will be so interesting to see how it is a second time around.”
Cameron Daddo, Wild Card
Dancing For: Ronald McDonald House
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I wanted to get out from behind the SmoothFM microphone and move. Challenge something I have long told myself – dancing is for others, not me.”
Courtney Act, 2019 Runner up
Dancing For: Black Rainbow
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I had so much fun on my first season, I couldn’t wait to return. I can’t say that about most reality TV shows I have been on.”
David Rodan, 2014 Winner
Dancing for: The Carly Ryan Foundation
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I really wanted to do it for my family. My sons were very young last time I was on show and had no real understanding of what I was doing. This time around they’re a lot older and are very excited to see their dad put his best foot forward on the dancefloor. I always encourage my boys to try new things outside of their comfort zone and apply themselves in all they do, so I really want to “practice what I preach” this season.”
Deni Hines, Wild Card
Dancing For: Oasis Africa Australia
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I decided to take on this fantastic experience because I love to dance and what better way to get fit and have fun.”
Grant Denyer, 2006 Winner
Dancing For: The Smith Family
Why did you decide to do the show again? – “Dancing on this show was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Later when I hosted, I was reminded how much fun it is to be a contestant. I always wanted another shot of getting on the dancefloor. This show means the world to me. I love being part of this show whether I’m a contestant, host or changing a lightbulb in the lighting rig.”
Chris Smith, Wild Card
Dancing For: White Ribbon Australia
Why did you decide to do the show again and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “My two girls love dancing at the moment and I’ve never known if I could dance at all, so both those things made me decide it was a good idea. I want to make them proud to see dad dancing on TV and I wanted to overcome insecurities of my own.”
Kylie Gillies, 2009 Grand Finalist
Dancing For: Melanoma Institute Australia
Why did you decide to do the show again and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “My first time around the dancefloor was in 2009. In some ways it seems like a lifetime ago and in others, just like yesterday. After finishing the first time, I also wished “If only I could do it all again, knowing what I do now!” Well I’m getting the chance to make that happen. It’s a dream, a really good one. I’m so happy and grateful because it’s an amazing experience.”
Olympia Valance, 2019 Favourite
Dancing For: Dementia Australia
Why did you decide to do the show again? – “I had the most incredible experience in my first season. As hard as it was physically, I laughed a lot, I learnt a new skill, I wore the most incredible costumes, had the most beautiful (yet, at times, crazy) makeup and made friendships I still cherish to this day. Unfortunately, my time was cut shorter than expected. I want to prove to myself and to Australia that I do deserve to be out there with the best of the best.”
Ricki-Lee, 2014 Grand Finalist
Dancing For: Support Act
Why did you decide to do the show again? – “After spending the better part of the last two years binge watching serial killer documentaries and eating junk food in my pyjamas, the sassy showgirl in me was starving for a cheering audience! I’ve missed performing so much. It’s what I do and it’s so much of who I am. I was excited at the opportunity to get out there and have some fun, with the opportunity to win some money for my charity.”
Rob Mills, 2009 Favourite
Dancing For: The Australian Children’s Music Foundation
Why did you decide to do the show again and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I wanted to show the judges that I have improved as a dancer/ mover and I wanted to prove to myself that I could possibly be a triple threat. I also was keen to lose a few COVID kilos.”
Sam Mac, Wild Card
Dancing For: Sydney Dogs and Cats Home
Why did you decide to do the show and what do you want to get out of this experience? – “I’ve always felt that my innate dance talent and flair is under appreciated in bars and nightclubs. This is the platform I deserve. This is my moment. This is my destiny.”
