Concrete Playground launched a new extension to its offering to include a dedicated e-commerce travel platform Concrete Playground Trips (CP Trips).
CP trips is designed to provide Gen Z (16 to 25 years) and Millennial (26 to 41 years) travellers with an exclusive selection of unique money-can’t-buy itineraries across Australia and New Zealand.
CP Trips will specially curate each of its itineraries to meet the needs of its audience, based on extensive research and continued feedback across the pillars of money-can’t-buy and GOAT experiences, outdoor adventures, luxury getaways and city breaks.
Each itinerary will include flights, accommodation and experiences, all bookable through the platform, with flexible travel arrangements and a dedicated customer service channel.
Powered by TRAVLR, a travel technology platform which licenses its full service travel platform to leading media companies such as Paramount ANZ, BBC Global News and Australian Community Media, it enables audiences to discover, plan and book curated, once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences, all in the one seamless branded ecosystem.
Founder and director of Concrete Playground, Rich Fogarty said that providing travel experiences was a natural evolution for the Concrete Playground brand.
“For 13 years, we have been the go-to destination for the best experiences on offer across Australia and New Zealand, so it’s only fitting that we take this one step further and actually offer these as bookable experiences to our dedicated audience.
“We know how important travel is to everyone post-pandemic, so we have taken every step to ensure we have the latest research and insights to provide only the most exclusive, GOAT experiences based on feedback and demand.”
As part of its launch, the digital city guide conducted extensive research in April 2022 amongst its Gen Z and Millennial audiences across Australia and New Zealand to ensure they fulfilled current expectations and travel trends.
These uncovered key insights which formed the itineraries on launch – Concrete Playground Trips has focused its attention on domestic travel with 50% of New Zealanders and 53% of Australians planning on doing more domestic trips this year compared to pre-pandemic.
It’s now or never – 40% say they’re planning on spending more than their pre-COVID spend. Designed to “wow,” CP Trips will launch one hero experience per quarter, with money-can’t-buy experiences and limited trips available.
Tasmania is top of the list for Australians to head to. CP Trips has created ‘Five Days of Hobart’s Finest’ sussing out the best of the capital for the ultimate getaway.
The traditional bucket list has changed – 70% would prefer to go off the beaten track, with 74% wanting to “live like a local” than seeing the more popular spots. CP Trips has dug out some lesser known locations and experiences, creating a unique ‘Glamping at Sirromet Sanctuary’ itinerary.
Adventure and culture aside, 31% of Gen Z and 30% of millennials are booking trips to de-stress. As part of its offering, CP Trips has compiled the experiences for relaxation including its ‘Luxury Weekend at QT Sydney.’
Launching from today, the first hero experience from CP Trips is an exclusive experience at the Spring City Festival in Auckland headlined by Groove Armada, which includes:
• VIP festival tickets
• A 3-night stay in the luxury Hotel Britomart – New Zealand’s only 5 Star Green Hotel
• A Private Sommelier and Chef Lunch at the iconic Ahi restaurant by New Zealand’s best known-chef, Ben Bayly
• A helicopter flight to Waiheke Island for wine tasting at New Zealand’s leading luxury wine brand, Stonyridge Vineyard with the winery owner. An option to the winery tour is a helicopter flight to Waiheke Distilling Company for a bespoke tour with the head Distiller
Given the exclusivity of the hero itinerary, CP Trips will only extend a limited number of trips, available to book until 26 October 2022 for departure on 26 November 2022.
Throughout the year, CP Trips will release 12 unique itineraries per quarter, along with other enticing travel experiences.
