Aussie Salvage Squad returns for a fourth season, premiering Wednesday, 27th July at 8.30pm on Discovery.
Across eight episodes, Team Salvage kick off the series by responding to a national emergency in the flood-ravaged Northern Rivers city of Lismore in NSW. Team Leader Luke makes the heart-breaking decision to leave his young family behind in Perth to join forces with Recovery Specialist, Taylor – to help out a community in need.
Equipped with Winch Beast Christopher, and an arsenal of new recovery machines, the dynamic duo take on the mega-sized salvage jobs no one else can – including recovering a Royal Australian Air Force P3 Orion aircraft, saving a roller-skating rink from certain destruction and salvaging a major regional bridge under threat. But goodwill comes at a price. Luke faces financial and emotional hardship as he struggles to keep his salvage business afloat and provide for his family back home.
Shaun and Sarah of Team West Coast are back again – with their no-guts-no-glory salvage mantra, taking on all sorts of Western Australian land-based jobs, from salvaging toxic cars stuck at the bottom of lakes to 4 x 4 adventure vehicles buried deep in remote sand dunes.
And for the first time ever, Aussie Salvage Squad moves into Victoria with new faces, Ben and Nicole of Team Edge Recovery, who are hell-bent on forging their reputation as the best in the business when it comes to extreme mid-tier salvage work in the southern states of Australia. This season, we’ll see them recover valuable rally cars, buses and a 4WD stuck in an insane muddy bog hole in the high-country.
The series aims to explore what happens when the Australian landscape collides with humanity capturing real-life stories as they naturally unfold, imbued with time-critical jeopardy, massive equipment failures and serious financial pressures.
Aussie Salvage Squad is produced by Fredbird Entertainment.
Aussie Salvage Squad season 4 premieres Wednesday, 27th July at 8.30pm AEST on Discovery.
