Ash Prier has been announced as the new creative director of Wellington-based creative agency Wrestler.
She will lead creative direction across the agency’s diverse range of global and local clients, as well as many projects such as Allbirds, Niantic, Education NZ and New Zealand Police.
CEO Ben Forman said he is really excited to welcome Prier to the Wrestler whānau.
“As an agency built for today’s world, we tell stories with positive cultural impact through creative and technical innovation.
“Ash’s expertise and creative calibre will further develop this direction for Wrestler and continue to uphold our reputation as an ethical creative partner,” he added.
Prier was previously the art director of Les Mills international, leading the design team over global offices and directing international shoots.
She has more than a decade of experience and has worked with a number of brands including Nike, Les Mills International, Reebok, Max and Barkers, across the USA, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Leveraging her art direction background with a strong strategic mind, Prier creates narratives and meaningful experiences that connect humans with brands and help to challenge perspectives, empower audiences and create fans.
Forman says Prier was a natural fit for Wrestler.
“With Ash’s desire to incorporate social and environmental responsibility into her work and lead the way in this in the industry, she aligned well with Wrestler’s approach,” he said.
Prier commented on her new role and shared that she is thrilled to join Wrestler team.
“Wrestler is an agency made up of people who are harnessing the power of creativity for good. I look forward to being a part of the impact our clients make in partnership with Wrestler and to contributing to the community in Pōneke and beyond.”
