ARN has announced the appointment of Stephen Werner to the role of content director at Mix102.3/Cruise 1323 in Adelaide, after a worldwide search.
Werner has a long and impressive background in audio and content creation. Born and bred in Cape Town, he started his career in Primedia as a junior producer for a number of highly respected talk shows before moving on to produce the region’s biggest music station breakfast show at Kfm.
Werner career went international with a stint in LA as a radio producer, including a series of special edition Academy Award broadcasts, and he quickly established himself as the man who could secure big-name interviews, including with the likes of Gordon Ramsay, One Direction and Morgan Freeman.
In 2013, back in South Africa, Werner became Kfm Programme Manager, and in 2019 was promoted to head of the station. In 2020, he was appointed as a member of Primedia Broadcasting’s Leadership team, responsible for formulating and executing the broadcasting business’s audience and revenue building strategies. Through the course of his career, he has been involved in every part of programming in the business.
Under Werner’s leadership, his stations have won numerous South African radio awards across multiple categories including Breakfast Show, Radio Innovation and Promotion/Stunt.

Werner commences his role at ARN in Adelaide on Monday, April 17.
