ARIA charts: Justin Bieber #1 for third week, hard rockers dominate top-5 on album chart

•  Singles: Justin Bieber #1 again as P!nk and Taylor Swift climb higher
•  Albums: Bring Me the Horizon, Jarryd James & Slater take top-three spots

Singles

Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” can’t be toppled this week with a run of three weeks at the top of the chart.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are again stuck at #2 as a couple of female megastars climb up the chart.

Taking her time towards the top is Taylor Swift with “Wildest Dreams” hitting #3 after seven weeks.

Just missing the top 10 on debut is a chart veteran. P!nk returns to the ARIA singles chart with “Today’s the Day” which is the theme song for the 13th season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Three other tunes were new in the top 50 this week:
# 31 Robin Schulz featuring Francesco Yates with “Sugar”
#41 Jessica Mauboy with “This Ain’t Love”
#42 Selena Gomez with “Same Old Love”

Albums

For yet another week the top of the chart is flooded with newcomers. Troye Sivan lasted one week at #1 with “Wild” down to #7 in its second week on the chart. Taking over at the top is tattooed Yorkshire rockers Bring Me The Horizon with “That’s The Spirit”.

Brisbane singer/songwriter Jarryd James just missed a #1 debut with his first album settling at #2 this week.

Another metal legend makes a high debut this week with Slayer’s “Repentless” in at #3. Check the calendar – is it really 2015 with Slater and Iron Maiden in the top-five?
Maiden’s “The Book of Souls” was down from #2 to #5 in its second week.

The remainder of 11 new releases in the top 50 this week are:
#13 Nero with “Between II Worlds”
#14 Ellie Drennan with “Close Your Eyes”

#25 Natalie Imbruglia with “Male”
