Alex Mavroidakis (pictured) is joining ITV Studios Australia in a project-based role as a showrunner and executive producer.
Specialising in reality and light entertainment, Mavroidakis has a career as a production executive spanning 14 years in Australia, as well as an impressive production background in the UK.
“A leading creative in the Australian television industry, Alex comes with a wealth of experience,” ITV Studios Australia managing director Anita Jacoby said.
“He was a key architect in the development of Big Brother as a family program. He’s also created plenty of shows from the ground up,” she said.
Mavroidakis will work alongside ITV Studios Australia’s production team, including head of factual and reality Karen Dewey.
Mavroidakis was executive producer on three seasons of Big Brother (2012-2014) and has credits on shows including The Apprentice, The Amazing Race, The X Factor and Medical Emergency.
