Natalie Miller Fellowship making a comeback to Screen Forever conference

Established in 2011 to recognise the unique contribution of screen industry pioneer Natalie Miller.

After a four-year hiatus, the recipient of the Natalie Miller Fellowship will once again be announced at the Screen Forever conference. The event will take place at the Crown Conference Centre, Melbourne, November 20-22.

Established in 2011 to recognise the unique contribution of screen industry pioneer Natalie Miller, the Natalie Miller Fellowship is open to all women working in the Australian screen industry and aims to provide financial assistance to pursue professional development in their fields through attachments, internships, secondments, travel and other means in order to reach their full leadership potential.

It offers up to $20,000 for a professional development program. In July 2018, Village Roadshow was announced as co-sponsor of the annual Fellowship for the next five years.

“We are elated to welcome the Natalie Miller Fellowship back into the fold for 2018,” said Screen Producers Australia CEO Matthew Deaner. “Diversity and gender parity are key themes for Screen Forever this year, and we look forward to recognising and nurturing the next generation of female leaders in the Australian screen community.”

Since 2012, six Fellowships have been awarded and the recipients are Rachel Okine (VP, Acquisitions at STXInternational), Harriet Pike (head of production & development, WildBear Entertainment), Rebecca Hammond (post production manager, Beyond Productions), Courtney Botfield, Sasha Close (film programming manager, Wallis Cinemas) and Kristy Matheson (director of film programs, ACMI).
