SEN expands global footprint with live NRL broadcast from Las Vegas

Craig Hutchinson: ‘Broadcasting from Las Vegas is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality sports commentary’.

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) will broadcast live from Las Vegas this weekend, covering the opening round of the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season at Allegiant Stadium.

The coverage includes both season-opening matches – Canberra Raiders vs. New Zealand Warriors, followed by reigning premiers Penrith Panthers taking on the Cronulla Sharks.

As part of the broadcast, SEN Stadium will be available for in-venue audiences, providing real-time commentary without delay. This initiative marks the first time SEN Stadium will be implemented outside of Australia, expanding the network’s presence in international sports broadcasting.

Live calls, featuring commentators Joel Caine and Tim Mannah, will be available through the SEN App, expanding accessibility for fans tuning in from anywhere. This approach aligns with the growing demand for seamless, on-the-go sports coverage across digital platforms.

SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, expressed his excitement about this groundbreaking initiative.

“We are incredibly proud to bring our cutting-edge broadcasting technology to the international stage. This is a significant step for SEN as we continue to innovate and provide the best possible experience for our listeners.  Broadcasting the NRL from Las Vegas is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality sports commentary to fans around the world,” he said.

SEN 1170AM will broadcast from three key locations: Wests Leagues Club in Campbelltown (8-11am) with hosts Jimmy Smith and Brett Kimmorley, Wests Tamworth Leagues Club (11am-1pm) featuring Glen Hawke and Adam Blair, and Parramatta Leagues Club (1-3pm) with Julian King and Mark Carroll. Each event will feature pre-game analysis, live discussions, and fan engagement opportunities.

“We love that Clubs NSW is launching watch parties all over regional and metro NSW to gather people together in fabulous venues and experience the games together,” Hutchison continued.  “We look forward to sharing the fun of three venues across our airways with coverage from 8am.”

Game one of the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership Season will kick off at 11am AEDT on Sunday 2 March between the Raiders and Warriors, following by the clash between Penrith and Cronulla at 3.30pm AEDT.
