2Day FM has invited listeners to relive the golden days of the 1990s music charts, with the second instalment of its “A Better Today” campaign launching.
Running in cinemas, TV, and across a range of digital and social media platforms, the commercial features 2Day FM Breakfast hosts Dave ‘Hughesy’, Erin Molan and Ed Kavalee. The trio arrive at the Chinese restaurant to find a diner transformed into a 90s diva, dancing with her own troupe to Mariah Carey’s 1995 smash hit Fantasy.
Created in collaboration with The Producers and Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), the campaign was filmed at an iconic Chinese restaurant in Sydney’s Western suburbs, featuring the restaurant’s maitre D’ and local Sydney dance family The Champ Fam.
SCA Chief Marketing Officer, Nikki Clarkson, said: “ ‘A Better Today’ is an ode to the joy of music and the places it can take us. This campaign captures the joy of living in the moment, and how 2Day FM can transform any day into a better today.”
The Producers Director, Cameron March, said: “As a director, it’s a dream come true when you have a client like SCA and 2Day FM that is willing to build up the previous year’s campaign and take it to the next level. We stepped into a world of colour and dance, ultimately creating a piece of content that stands out. I’m proud to say we are taking our viewers along a journey of an even better today, this year.”
