Breakfast hosts Ross and John celebrated their first ratings win of what could be another clean sweep this in Malaysia where they are hosting a week of programs after not having the right visas for India. They weren’t able to celebrate their win in KL’s Royal Selangor Club however, as breakfast producer Kate Stevenson wasn’t allowed inside! Their breakfast share was down 2.0 to 17.8%, but they lead an improving ABC702 breakfast by 1.5 points. Neil Mitchell was down a point, but evening which is now shared by Ross Greenwood, Steve Price plus Bruce and Phil, lifted 2.6 to 13.8%. 3AW dominates older audiences with listening was up 4.0 to 22.2% 55-64, but down 3.3 to 28.9% 65+.

Gold 8.9%

ARN has the #1 FM station with Gold climbing 0.7, with four of the other five FM stations losing share. The biggest improvements were in drive and evening with smaller increases across the rest of the day. The new breakfast show with Jo Stanley and Lehmo has started life with 6.4%, up 0.2 from how breakfast ended 2015. Gold remains #1 40-54 with share up 3.4 to 14.7%.

FoxFM hit 1019 8.6%

The hit network station that has yet to change its name maintains the biggest cume audience in the market despite share down 1.1. A 0.6 lift in breakfast to 5.4% was offset by a fall of 2.9 in the evening which kept the station close to a 7% share. Some listeners aged 40-54 drifted away with share down 2.3 to 7.3%.

KIIS 101.1 6.4%

The first survey for the new Matt Tilley and Meshel Laurie breakfast show sees them with a 6.2% share. That’s better than the morning numbers and equal to the KIIS afternoon share.
