August 1, 2012 We started our post-Olympic Games Opening Ceremony post-mortem with a talk to Australian-based BBC foreign correspondent Nick Bryant who loved what he had just seen and he had a few interesting comments about Australia and the games.
We then crossed to a car travelling in London after leaving Olympic Park. It was nearly 2am local time, but the occupants were good enough to talk to us about experiencing the Opening Ceremony live: Foxtel's director of television Brian Walsh, Seven and MTV's Molly Meldrum, Foxtel's Charlotte Dawson and news.com.au editor-at-large Melissa Hoyer.
Walsh compares it to some of the many big events he has attended, Dawson and Hoyer talk fashion, music and Hoyer's nasty hotel incident earlier that day, and Molly delights everybody with a hair-raising tale about an encounter with a fan in the toilets inside the Olympic Stadium!
