The February 2014 survey of Nielsen online ratings shows no change in the top seven ranking news sites and that nearly all the sites in the top order experienced growth.
Nielsen has reported 8.9 million Australians visited news websites in January 2014 – a recovery from seasonal lows typically experienced by news sites in December.
More than half of all Australians (57 per cent) were active on the web, and each visitor to news sites spent an average of 2 hours and 54 minutes on those sites in total during the month.
The Microsoft and Nine Entertainment Co. joint venture, and its group of companies, has unveiled a new corporate umbrella brand: Mi9. The new corporate and trade brand will be officially launched in early 2012, to reflect the coming together of Australia’s largest and most dynamic portfolio of digital properties.
Joe Pollard, the Chief Executive Officer of ninemsn, a joint venture between Microsoft and Nine Entertainment Co, has resigned from her position and will leave the company at the end of September 2011.
