Seven has announce that the respected sports physician Dr Peter Larkins is joining its AFL commentary team for the 2012 season.
Dr Larkins will provide viewers with his expert medical insights on Seven’s Saturday Night football coverage as well as AFL Game Day on a Sunday morning.
On Saturday nights, starting from 6.30pm, he will have all the latest AFL injury news, as well delivering injury reports during the match that evening. And he will provide a comprehensive medical update on Game Day the next morning.
Dr Peter Larkins said:
“I’m delighted to be back covering live football with Channel Seven and delivering cutting edge medical and sports science information to the viewing public. And I’m really looking forward to working alongside footy royalty on Saturday nights with the likes of Richo, Cameron Ling, Luke Darcy and of course BT.”
Seven Melbourne managing director Lewis Martin said:
“Dr Larkins is without peer in the world of AFL. His accuracy and authority on medical issues is unrivalled, as is his ability to communicate complex information to footy fans in an entertaining and informative fashion. We are thrilled he is coming onboard.”
