A-League return starts Fox Sports’ Summer of Football
A blockbuster opening fortnight features an all-Sydney showdown, a Melbourne derby, plus a Grand Final rematch

The Hyundai A-League returns this weekend and Fox Sports will have all the action with live, ad break-free-during-play and HD coverage of every match in the 2016/17 season.
A blockbuster opening fortnight features an all-Sydney showdown, a Melbourne derby, plus a Grand Final rematch set to kick off a massive 12th season of Australia’s domestic football competition.
The nation’s leading football commentary team, featuring Mark Bosnich, Robbie Slater, Andy Harper, Ned Zelic, Adam Peacock, Mark Rudan, John Kosmina, Tara Rushton, Simon Hill and Daniel Garb will be back to spearhead Fox Sports’ coverage.
Former Socceroos Ante Covic, Archie Thompson and Josh Kennedy will feature as special guests on Fox Sports’ football entertainment shows throughout the season.
A refreshed slate of entertainment shows will keep fans entertained and informed across the week, starting with a brand new edition of Shootout at 8.00pm EDT on Thursday nights.
Bosnich and Rushton will be joined by a rotating panel of experts each week, starting with Kosmina and Thompson for the premiere episode.
Friday nights are home to Kickoff, with Kosmina and Thompson combining with Peacock to preview the action ahead in the season opening clash between Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory, from 7pm on Friday.
Hyundai Matchday Saturday returns to deliver analysis with Peacock, Bosnich and Rudan delivering a match day experience like no other, with up to three matches throughout the night.
Once the final whistle sounds each Sunday, Bosnich and Rushton return to host the Sunday edition of Shootout, with Kosmina and Sasa Ognenovski joining the team this week.
Fox Sports will once again showcase the premier women’s competition every week, with a live Westfield W-League match each Sunday afternoon as part of a massive day of football action with up to three live matches.
Former Matilda Amy Duggan will return in 2016 to anchor Fox Sports’ Westfield W-League coverage, alongside renowned women’s football commentator Stephanie Brantz who will call the action alongside a rotating panel of experts.
The women’s league will launch in the first week of November, with the Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory clash broadcast live on Fox Sports on 6 November.
